FISH FACTS

Fish is a healthy food and a valuable source of nutrients. It is worth considering that the modern food and nutrition science emphasizes that eating the right food is the most efficient medicine for human beings.
It is advisable to consume 30 to 40 g fish per day, or at least one seafood meal per week.

Fish is a source of the essential fatty acid constituents and the polyunsaturated vegetable oils, which are both important elements of the daily nutrition. Eating fish regularly helps you stay healthy with stable immune system and fresh skin.

Results indicate that the increased consumption of fish can reduce the risk of cardiovascular diseases. Fish is rich in omega-3 fatty acids, which are regularly located in the muscle tissue. They enhance the formation of prostaglandins, hormone-like substances that are critical for the regulation of blood vessels and blood clotting.

Furthermore, fish contains high quantities of mineral substances and vitamins - A, D, E, B1, B2, B6, B12 and niacin. In terms of calcium and phosphorus values, fish ranks in second place behind milk and dairy products but ahead of meat.
